The Olde English Bulldogge is a rare breed. The OEB, in general, is very healthy, able to breathe properly, exercise, run, breed naturally and whelp naturally. These are traits that eventually wound up being bred out of the English Bulldog in an effort to make them smaller and their faces and bodies more exaggerated to the absolutely adorable breed it is today; however, in doing so, the EB now is fraught with breathing, breeding and other health issues.
We fell in love with this breed in 2010 when our youngest son purchased “Brock” from 7 Acre Kennels. At that time we thought we’d never have any breed other than an Old English Mastiff. We had 4 over time and loved each one with everything we had in us but, unfortunately, being a giant breed, none lived beyond 9 years.
Brock changed our minds… He immediately became known as “Wiggle Butt” because his whole body wiggles when you talk to him. Brock is a very happy boy, all the time. If you need a pick-me-up, he is there. He is a large OEB at 90 pounds but is a real sweetheart, smart as can be, easy to live with and a pure joy. A grand companion. He’s ready for whatever you want to do. Brock has never met a stranger. He is the reason we now have 4 OEB’s and continues to bring us much laughter and joy every day.
